The Neighbourhood Group of Companies that operates The Wooly Pub (Guelph), Borealis Grille & Bar (Guelph & Kitchener), Miijidaa Cafe + Bistro (Guelph) and Park Eatery (Guelph) are looking for a HOH Supervisor to work at one of our operations.

We are looking for a motivated individual with at least 2 years of professional cooking experience in a similar role.

Here’s what we get!

Someone who has:

- Proven work experience as a kitchen supervisor, sous chef or executive chef

- Hands-on experience with planning menus and ordering ingredients

- Knowledge of a wide range of recipes

- Above average knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety regulations

- Excellent organizational skills

- Conflict management abilities

- Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment

- Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends

- Certification from a culinary school or degree in Restaurant Management is a plus

Responsibilities for Kitchen Supervisor:

- Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders

- Supervise food prep and cooking

- Check food plating and temperature

- Establish portion sizes

- Schedule kitchen staff shifts

- Price menu items in collaboration with the Executive Chef

- Order food, supplies and kitchen equipment, as needed

- Hire and train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques

- Store food products in compliance with safety practices

- Keep detailed weekly and monthly cost reports

- Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen
